​​​​​​Inter-School Sport

Mt Crosby State School offers opportunities for interschool sport in the winter and summer semesters.  As of 2024​, MCSS participates in the following:

Winter Season (Semester 1)

Netball

Rugby League

Soccer

Tennis

Summer Season (Semester 2)

AFL

Basketball

Softball

Touch Football

These sports are trialled for over a series of weeks and teams selected by all coaches. Students travel by bus as a team each Friday to their respective sports venues. 

​Representative Sport

Mount Crosby State School operates within the north zone of the Western Ranges sports District. These trials are for competitive students within the sports area, often who play the sport or event in external clubs. This process is in place to choose children who may eventually be selected for state-wide or even national titles.

Trials usually occur out of school times and may involve commitment to attend games or events independently of the school. Below is a link to the calendar of trials scheduled this year.  All students must nominate their interest to trial to our PE Teacher PRIOR to the nomination dates. Students must not nominate directly to the District or Met West.​ Forms will then be distributed to students & ​​must be completed by parents and signed by a school representative before being taken to trials. NO form – NO trial.
